Below are some of our great adult leaders for our two troops. The Troop Committee serves both the Boy's and Girl's Troops.

John Waldeck - Committee Chair
Tyler Pope has been involved with Troop 787 since his oldest son joined in 2019. He became Scoutmaster after his second son joined in 2022. With a third son still in Cub Scouts, he may be here for a while! A graduate of MIT, Tyler works for a prominent sports agent representing baseball players.
Dr. Melissa Shirah, a DBA from Creighton University and Professor of Accounting at Santiago Canyon College, serves as the Scoutmaster for the Girl's Troop. Dr. Shirah and her daughter are both founding members of Troop 787 Girls.
Bob Baker - Assistant Scoutmaster
Bob Baker, a software engineer working in the payments industry, serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster to both the Boy's and Girl's Troops. He is an Eagle Scout from Troop 787 (2014) and previously worked for the OC Boy Scouts of America as a Camp Ranger. In his free time, he enjoys off-roading with his friends.
John Waldeck, a UCI graduate and veteran of the real estate finance sector, serves as the Committee Chair for both Troops. His two sons are both involved in the Troop as well.
